TEKA Joings as Sponsor
TEKA Absaug- und Entsorgungstechnologie is the new sponsor of the "Young Welders Competition." This prestigious competition for up-and-coming talent, organized by the DVS – German Welding Society, fosters young talent in the field of welding technology and supports the professional development of tomorrow’s specialists. The next round of the competition will take place at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for joining, cutting and coating, held in Essen from September 15 through 19, 2025. The event attracts numerous industry experts and technology pioneers.
TEKA will be present at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 in the large welding arena of the Galeria, equipping the workstations of competition participants with state-of-the-art extraction and filtration technology. This ensures not only the highest safety standards but also an optimal working environment for the young welders.
"As an innovative company, we are committed to fostering tomorrow’s professionals while emphasizing the importance of safe work practices and clean air in workshops. The 'Young Welders Competition' at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN provides the ideal platform," emphasizes Simon Telöken, Managing Director of TEKA. TEKA will also be represented with its own booth, showcasing innovative solutions in extraction technology.
"The partnership between TEKA and the DVS underscores the significance of modern technologies in training and protecting the health of young professionals. We are very pleased to jointly showcase our new partnership for the first time at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025," says Dr.-Ing. Roland Boecking, DVS Chief Executive Officer.
Looking for Young Welders
The "Young Welders Competition" consists of the DVS National Competition "Jugend schweißt" (Welding Youth) and the "International Welding Competition." "Jugend schweißt" will take place during the first two days of SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN and serves as a springboard for young talents in Germany aged 16 to 23. Participants will compete in four welding processes: TIG, MAG, MMA and gas welding, demonstrating precision, quality and technical execution. The top performers qualify for the ARC Cup, held annually in China.
Starting on the third day of the trade fair, the "International Welding Competition" will follow in the welding arena, featuring young welders from around the globe. Countries such as Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, China and Switzerland have already announced their participation.
The awards ceremony for "Jugend schweißt" will take place on September 17 at 2:00 PM at the DVS booth in Hall 3, hosted by Igor Welder, an experienced welding expert and content creator in the industry. On September 19 at 2:00 PM, the winners of the "International Welding Competition" will be honoured.
