Moving TVET to the Top of the Global Agenda

Moving TVET to the Top of the Global Agenda

The 47th WorldSkills Competition served as a global platform to showcase the value of championing TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training). The event served as a global platform to showcase the value of championing TVET, the importance of WorldSkills Occupational Standards, and the strength of the skills community in driving change. Now champions return home with a renewed sense of pride, a wealth of life experiences and new friends.

The WorldSkills flag was passed from WorldSkills France to WorldSkills China who will host the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai in 2026. The symbolic moment marks the continuation of the WorldSkills movement and its growing global impact. The evening ended with a show that included dancers, singers, and performers representing the delights and cultural highlights of China. The competition was one part of WorldSkills Lyon 2024.
