Retractable Laser Weld Screen

Retractable Laser Weld Screen

Shaver Industries has designed and developed LZRTect, a retractable laser weld screen elevating safety and productivity in laser welding operations. The screens are designed to provide protection against laser beams, sparks, heat, ultraviolet light, and flying debris. Versatile and mobile, LZRTect allows for quick and efficient movement to any welding location within a workspace.

The srcreen boasts a retractable system that extends up to 15 feet (4.5 meters) in length, automatically retracting with a spring tension roller. This design allows for multiple mounting locations, facilitating top access and ensuring a clear path for overhead cranes. “LZRTect offers a modular structure that allows for flexibility and does not lock anyone into a single design or booth,” says Matt Gazzola, General Manager at Shaver Industries.

Lab certified for laser optical density, LZRTect provides protection with a maximum irradiance of 250W/cm2 as well as protection against diffusion beams. Eliminating the need for large stationary guards, it is easily movable without compromising the reliability of the weld screen’s laser welding protection capabilities.
