Elting GmbH wins Innovation Award "Fügen im Handwerk“ (Joining in Skilled Crafts)
For the fifth time, the "Joining in Skilled Crafts" Innovation Award has been awarded by the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH) and DVS - German Welding Society. (DVS). During DVS' social get-together on Monday evening at the SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN trade fair, the managing directors of Elting GmbH, Franz and Guido Elting, accepted the award, endowed with 3,000 euros.
The Innovation Award honours companies that have rendered outstanding services to innovation transfer and human resource development in joining technology. Versatility and variety on the job in combination with fairness and meeting at eye level are the success factors that make Elting an desirable employer for almost 70 employees. This is also reflected in the company's above-average training rate.
"Elting is the best example of how quality craftsmanship, inventiveness and motivation always create the best solutions for customers with individual problems," ZDH President Jörg Dittrich said.
DVS President Susanne Szczesny-Oßing views this award as a sign of the good cooperation between the two associations: "In DVS, we attach great importance to taking the interests of the skilled crafts into account in all our activities. With the Innovation Award we underline this concern." Elting is characterised by continuous development and growth. The family-run company, now in its third generation, uses state-of-the-art welding technology, from manual laser welding to welding robots and welding fixtures developed in-house to one of the largest 3D pipe lasers in Europe, and is thus able to react flexibly to a wide range of customer requirements. The company's innovative strength is also evident in its VarioSave product range. Since 2010, the company has developed and successfully marketed its own load securing systems.
